Save the Palisade of Fort Ingall!

Fort Ingall, unique in Quebec, is an exceptional witness to both military and regional history.

Built in 1839 during a border conflict with the United States, this field encampment, reconstructed in the 1970s, now welcomes visitors, families, and history enthusiasts who come to an immersive and educational experience in the heart of the Témiscouata region.

However, the palisade, a central element of the Fort’s authenticity, is rapidly deteriorating. Originally designed to last only 5 to 10 years, these structures have far exceeded their intended lifespan.

Restoration is now urgent to prevent irreversible loss and preserve this living heritage.
