What is Fort Ingall ?
Fort Ingall is a National Historic Site and interpretation centre located in Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac. It is a reconstruction of a British military fort built in 1839 during the Aroostook War.

What are your opening hours?
Fort Ingall is open from National Patriots’ Day to Thanksgiving (Canada).
During high season (June 24 to Labour Day), the site is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
During low season (May, early June, September and October), the site is open from Wednesday to Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Are rates different depending on the season?
No. Fort Ingall now applies a uniform rate throughout the season.
However, during low season, the audio guide is offered free of charge, replacing certain activities with guide-soldiers.

How long does a visit take?
A complete visit takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Is there parking on site?
Yes, a large free parking area is available for cars, buses, and recreational vehicles (RVs) during the day only.
What is included with admission?
Admission includes access to:
- the outdoor site
- reconstructed buildings
- permanent exhibitions
Some activities are offered at an additional cost (guided tour, musket firing, etc.).
Do I need to make a reservation?
Reservations are not required for individual visitors.
However, they are strongly recommended for groups of 10 people or more.

Do you offer guided tours?
Yes, guided tours are offered at set times during the day with guide-soldiers in period uniform during high season (late June, July and August).
What is the audioguide?
The audioguide is a self-guided tour available in 7 languages, featuring 31 stations throughout the site.
It is free during low season (May, early June, September and October).
Can visitors participate in activities (musket or cannon firing)?
Yes! Visitors can take part in certain activities, such as:
These activities are supervised and available for an additional fee.
Do you offer group rates?
Yes, a preferential rate is available for groups of 10 people or more.
Are visits adapted for school groups?
Yes, visits are adapted according to the age and type of group (children, teenagers, adults).
Can we stay on site overnight?
Yes, two accommodation options are available:
Can you stay overnight in an RV in the Fort Ingall parking lot?
No. The Fort Ingall parking lot is available free of charge for daytime visitors only.
Overnight parking is strictly prohibited unless you are using our on-site accommodation services (bunkhouse or room).
Other accommodation options are available in the region.
Is the site accessible for people with reduced mobility?
Yes, the outdoor site is accessible and some facilities are adapted.
Portable access ramps can be installed upon request.
Free for accompanying persons
A companion accompanying a person with reduced mobility is admitted free of charge. The free ticket is available on-site only.
Can you eat on site?
There is no food service on site, but areas are available for visitors.
It is also possible to picnic nearby.
Can I get involved or become a volunteer?
Yes! You can get involved by becoming a member, volunteer, or partner.
